Children’s Workshop: Trees & Mindfulness
October 23 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm
Join us for a rejuvenating event in the heart of nature at Denison Park, Corning, NY, USA. Immerse yourself in the calming presence of trees and discover the power of mindfulness. Trees are valuable to us in many ways- they provide us with protection from the sun, they give us food, they improve our air quality, and they can improve our mood! Research shows that trees can have a relaxing effect on humans, reduce stress and impart a sense of well-being. Take a break from your busy school day and let the serenity of the park guide you towards a state of tranquility. Through guided meditation and mindful practices, we will explore the beauty and wisdom of trees, fostering a deeper connection with ourselves and the natural world.
Register for your child(ren) only. We have 20 children’s spots available, and you are encouraged to join your child during the session. Don’t forget to bring your reusable water bottle. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Chemung River Watershed.
This free program is funded through grants from the Anderson Foundation, the Hilliard Foundation, and Casella. A suggested –but not required– donation for this program is $10.
